The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) offers a fellowship program for science and technology policy (http://www.stpf-aaas.org/). Only US citizens qualify for this program. An information session will take place on Wednesday October 9th at 5pm in the math department, room MTH 3206. Refreshments and pizza will be provided. The AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) is a public service and professional development opportunity for doctoral level scientists and engineers interested in contributing to science policy at the federal level in Washington DC. With assignments in all three branches of government, fellows are on the front line of vital issues that impact society, and learn first-hand about policymaking. Fellows are recent PhD graduates, postdocs, faculty on sabbatical, and other scientists and engineers seeking to grow their careers through this year-long opportunity. They represent a broad range of disciplines including mathematics, computer science, biological and physical sciences, behavior and social sciences, medicine and engineering. Attend this information session to learn more about STPF and how you can join a strong corps of 3,000+ policy-savvy scientist and engineers.
